As a host you have the opportunity to bring people together for this civic engagement and meal. You decide how small or how big. Open your event to the public or host a private event by invite only. We will provide you with hosting material which includes a to do list and template for feedback to us.
Dinner and Politics is designed for people in Black communities across Canada to engage over a meal with each other in the place of their choice (homes, offices, libraries, restaurants, barbershops, recreation rooms) to discuss and share ideas for engagement in elections. Dinner and Politics was launched in 2019 in Ottawa.
Our hope is that in providing this opportunity, members of Black communities across the country will engage in civic conversation while thinking about this year’s federal election.
